Last night, the United States and Israel conducted a series of strikes against the Iranian government. These developments represent a serious escalation in an already tense conflict in the Middle East, following weeks of attempted negotiations and unrest that have reportedly resulted in the deaths of thousands of Iranian civilians.
In recent weeks, the U.S. government has deployed additional military assets to the region, including thousands of servicemembers.
“Barbara and I are praying for our brave servicemembers stationed throughout the region. We are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment to serve our country as they take on the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.”
Many American personnel are stationed in Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, areas that have already begun experiencing military activity.
“We are also praying for the citizens of the Middle East, who have all been affected by this conflict. We all share a hope for a future that is peaceful and prosperous, where citizens of every nation can live with sovereignty, dignity, and security.”
