SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Alanis announced today that he has been appointed to four additional policy committees by Speaker Robert Rivas for the 2025-26 legislative session.
These committees include the Assembly Committees on Business and Professions, Natural Resources, Public Employment and Retirement, and Water, Parks and Wildlife.
“I am truly grateful to Speaker Rivas and Republican Leader Gallagher for giving me the opportunity to continue my work in improving the lives of my constituents and all Californians,” said Assemblymember Alanis. “The California Central Valley faces some of the most burdensome challenges in the state. From increased costs of everyday items like groceries and electricity to troublesome regulatory mandates on our agricultural and small businesses, I am more determined than ever to fight for my communities and advocate for common-sense change. Our actions should enhance the lives of our constituents, not make it more difficult to live here.”
Alanis’ new committee appointments follow his recent reappointment as Vice Chair of the Assembly Agriculture and Public Safety Committees.
“These committees will allow me to engage on key issues crucial to the communities I represent, including lowering the cost of living, supporting law enforcement, fostering small business growth, and ensuring agriculture’s access to vital water resources. I look forward to building on the success of my first term and collaborating with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to achieve meaningful progress.”
Assemblymember Juan Alanis represents the 22nd Assembly District, which includes the communities of Modesto, Turlock, Ceres, Denair, Patterson, Gustine, Newman, Hilmar, Ballico, Snelling, Keyes, Grayson, Crows Landing, Diablo Grande, Stevinson, & Empire.
