CERES – Yesterday, Assemblymember Juan Alanis hosted a Town Hall in Ceres, CA at the Ceres Community Center to discuss affordability at the state and local level alongside local elected officials and stakeholders.
The Town Hall took place at the Ceres Community Center, and the featured panelists included Ceres Mayor Javier Lopez, Ceres City Councilmember Rosalinda Vierra, CEO of the Stanislaus Latino Chamber Johnny Garcia, Turlock Irrigation District’s Monique Hampton, and Assemblymember Juan Alanis. This evening event was open to the public, and the panel took turns answering questions related to the housing crisis, gas prices, and more.
“I am incredibly pleased with the success of my fourth Town Hall in the past year,” said the Assemblymember. “It’s my fifth town hall since being elected to represent the 22nd Assembly District. I love giving my constituents the opportunity to ask tough questions, and I want to thank the panelists who took time to offer their valuable expertise and provide answers and resources to our community members.”
The audience posed questions on topics ranging from healthcare coverage to homeowner’s insurance to vocational training for those who may not be able to afford a traditional college pathway. Constituents were able to ask questions in person, through an online survey, or using the live stream chat.
