SACRAMENTO – Today, Assemblymember Alanis announced his appointment as the new Chief Whip for the Assembly Republican Caucus for the 2024 legislative year.
“I’m grateful to Republican Leader Gallagher and the Assembly Republican leadership team for putting their trust in me to serve as Chief Whip for the Caucus,” said Alanis. “I’m looking forward to working alongside my colleagues this year and passing meaningful legislation to tackle issues that Californians are facing. Last year I believe I built the relationships on both sides of the aisle to be effective at the job as the Republican Whip.”
Some of Alanis’s top priorities for the year include finding solutions on retail theft & the fentanyl crisis, water rights issues, supporting workers’ rights, and business licensing.
